MEET THE FIRST LADY

Evangelist Lakithia Chapman attended the Kinston Public School System in her earlier years and graduated with honors from Kinston High School. She furthered her education by attending North Carolina A & T State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, obtaining her Bachelor of Social Work. Lakithia is a graduate of the Kinston Theological Seminary. In 1998, she obtained a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Lakithia has counseled hundreds of people who are HIV and AIDS infected or affected through Triad Health Project, an AIDS service organization, in Greensboro, NC where she served as Client Services Coordinator for five years. She currently counsels families, including adults and children, and is making a difference in their lives as a woman of God in the prevention of child neglect and abuse. She has participated on numerous boards and committees, attacking various social ills in the community.

Lakithia formerly served as an instructor at Kinston Theological Seminary, where she taught classes in death, dying and bereavement, church leadership and soteriology.

She is the former pastor and founder of Higher Ground Church of Raleigh, North Carolina where she served faithfully with her husband for fourteen years. Evangelist Lakithia remains very active preaching, teaching, and ministering in various churches, ministry events, and conferences. As an evangelist, Lakithia Chapman has proclaimed the goodness of God in the United States and abroad. She is the First Lady and co-founder of Peak City Full Gospel Baptist Church and is a tremendous blessing to the congregation and a jewel to the Body of Christ.

Lakithia Chapman loves the Lord and enjoys reading, racquetball, golf, and deep sea fishing. She is married to her best friend, John Timothy Chapman, and she is the grateful mother of three: Zoe Genesis, Asher Noah, and Lydia Abigail.
